Kitchen appliances and utensils: a bowl, a tablespoon and a teaspoon, a measuring cup, a garlic press, a frying pan, a spatula, a baking sheet or a baking dish, a stove and an oven.

Step cooking
The formation and frying of meatballs
- Put the minced meat (0.5 kg) in a bowl and beat the chicken egg (1 piece) to it. Peel the garlic (2 cloves) and pass through the press, add to the minced meat.

 - Pour milk (about 100 ml) into a bowl.

 - Salt the mixture and add black ground pepper to taste. Pour the breadcrumbs into the mixture (2 tablespoons). Mix everything well by hand until a uniform consistency is obtained.

 - Form from the mass of not very large meatballs of the same size.

 - Place the pan on gas and heat it. Pour in the pan sunflower oil (2-3 tablespoons) and fry the meatballs on all sides: bottom, top and sides. Transfer rosy, elastic meatballs from the pan to a small baking sheet or baking dish.

 
Cooking meatball sauce
- In a pan where meatballs were fried, add butter (15-20 grams) and dissolve it.

 - Reduce the fire to the minimum and pour flour into the pan (1 tablespoon). With constant stirring, fry the flour until a light golden hue appears.

 - Pour milk (0.5 liters) into the pan and mix the contents. Salt the sauce, add spices: Provencal herbs and nutmeg to taste. With constant stirring, bring the sauce to a boil. When the sauce is slightly thickened, it is ready.

 - Pour the fried meatballs in the form with the finished sauce and bake them in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

 
Decoration methods and serving options
Serve the prepared meatballs in milk sauce with a garnish, put on a serving plate, pour the sauce and sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs to taste. Boiled potatoes, rice, buckwheat, bulgur and legumes are suitable as a side dish. To a hearty aromatic dish, a vegetable salad of vegetables by season, or various pickles, is also suitable.
