Step cooking

- Peel potatoes, approximately 700-800 g, peel and cook until cooked.

- Arbitrarily chop 2-3 onions and fry until golden in well-heated vegetable oil (25-30 ml).

- Drain the water from the finished potato (leave 150 ml for mashed potatoes), add 1 tsp. salt, pepper to taste and crush the potatoes in a thick puree.

- Put the fried onions in the prepared puree, mix well, put in a separate cup and let it cool completely.

Knead the dough and bake pies
The dough can also be kneaded manually, but if there is a bread machine in the kitchen, the kneading process is significantly simplified.
- Pour a glass of water into the bread maker’s bowl, add 50 g of vegetable oil (it can be replaced with the same amount of melted cream margarine), add all 3 cups of flour at once, add 1 tsp. salt and 3 tsp sugar, and put 8 g of dry instant yeast.

- Start the bread machine with the lid open. After a quarter of an hour, the dough will be ready, and it can be cut.

- Divide the finished dough into four equal parts.

- Roll each part into a layer of at least 1 cm thick.

- Put the stuffing “sausage” on the edge farthest from you.

- Twist the dough with potato roll filling.

- With the palm of your hand, divide each roll into four parts.

- It is good to stick up the edges of each resulting pie, and wrap them inward.

- Cover the bottom of the baking sheet with baking paper or parchment and lay out the pies with a considerable distance from each other.

- Beat the egg (or grind the yolk) and grease the surface of the pies with it.

- Preheat the oven for a maximum of 10 minutes, then set the temperature inside the cabinet to 190 ° C and bake pies for 30 minutes.
