Step cooking
Prepare the ingredients
- Thoroughly rinse 300 g of buckwheat with running cold water, then throw it in a colander and allow excess moisture to drain. Pour clean cereal with boiling water and set aside to swell.

- We clean one medium-sized onion, wash it, and then finely chop it with a knife.

- Cut the peel from one carrot, then wash the vegetable and rub on a coarse grater. We clean the medium-sized tomato from the skin, and then rub it on a coarse grater.

Preparing the fill
- We heat the pan and pour 20-30 ml of vegetable oil into it.

- On a well-heated oil, spread the chopped onion and fry it until translucent.

- We send carrots there, and then fry the components for 2-3 minutes, periodically stirring the vegetable mass.

- After this time, add grated tomato or 1 tablespoon of tomato paste.

- Stir everything well, and then send 300 ml of water and 150 g of sour cream to the pan.

- Literally in a minute we bring 2 bay leaves, 1 teaspoon of salt, as well as the desired amount of ground black pepper and dried herbs. Two cloves of garlic are passed through a press and added to the fill. Stir the mixture well and immediately remove from heat.

We form meat balls
- In a deep bowl, spread 500 g of minced meat. It turns out a very tasty dish, if you use minced meat from a mixture of beef and chicken.

- Grind two onions and two cloves of garlic in a blender until gruel.

- The resulting mixture is sent to the minced meat and add there 1 teaspoon of salt without a slide and black pepper to taste. In order to make the meat balls juicy and tender, add 10 g of sour cream to the minced meat.

- We thoroughly alter the ingredients until we get a homogeneous forcemeat. We form medium-sized balls from the prepared mass.

We collect and bake the product
- The baking dish is carefully lubricated with vegetable oil. During this time, buckwheat should already swell well. Drain the remaining water, and then put the porridge in a mold.

- On top of the cereal, fill half the fill and mix the components.

- Evenly distribute buckwheat over the entire surface of the mold, and then spread the meat balls. Fill the remaining fill and send the dish into the oven heated to 190-200 ° С.

- Bake the product for 30-40 minutes. Serve the dish exclusively hot.
